If you suspect that someone would check what websites you have visited, it is safer to delete both the history of visited websites and the temporary Internet files from your computer.
This process varies depending on the type and version of browser you use. I would then advise you to check how to do this in online help/support for your browser type.
Often, the ‘delete functions’ can be found in the Internet Options under the ‘Tools’ menu.
Deleting your temporary Internet Files and history helps reduce the likelihood of discovery. However, it may not completely cover your tracks. In order to be sur of not being tracked online, the safest way is to access the internet at your local library, or a friend’s house.
